Rebecca Jane (Blubaugh) French, 87, of 202 West Second Street, Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 in Village of Laurel Run Fayetteville, PA. Born April 28, 1926 in the Fairview area of Quincy Township, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Almeda (Moats) Blubaugh.
Mrs. French attended Quincy High School. In her early life, Mrs. French was employed at McCrory's Department Store, Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA and Connie's Sportswear. Prior to her retirement in 1988, she was employed at South Mountain Restoration Center for 23 years. Mrs. French was a life member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #1758 Ladies Auxiliary and attended Blue Rock United Brethren Church, both of Waynesboro. She enjoyed playing BINGO, was an avid bowler and loved cats and music of all kinds.
Mrs. French is survived by eight children, Brenda D. Bakner, Boyd Anthony French, Patricia Colleen French and Alicia J. French, all of Waynesboro, Larry Errett French of Hagerstown, MD and Rebecca L. Marshall, Gordon Perry French and Bennett James French, all of Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Hattie Naomi Sanders of Quincy; one brother, Cyrus Blubaugh of Tomstown; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd F. French who passed away in 1988; and a brother, Harold Blubaugh.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
