Barbara was born in Piggott, AR on April 19th, 1942 to James W. Parker and Lora Mae (Hinchcliff) Parker. She was the youngest of 4 children. She grew up in Piggott and lived in various places throughout Arkansas, and Missouri. She married Fred E. (Nick) Hastings, Jr on May 17th, 1968. Barbara and Nick moved the family to California in early 1970's where all of the kids grew up.

Barbara worked for Holiday Inn as a Food and Beverage Manager and held various positions within the corporation through out her several years of employment there.

Barbara was a very dedicated wife and mother. She loved her children immensely and her grand-children and great grandchildren even more. She would do anything for them.

Barbara loved making crafts and had a passion for making candles. She also loved gardening, traveling and visiting with family and friends. She was loved by her friends and neighbors and her family.

On May 3rd, 2015 Barbara passed away in Martin, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lora Parker, two sisters and one brother. Her son, Rickie G. Perkins and her husband of 45 years, Nick. Barbara is survived by her children, Vickie Espinoza, Steven Perkins (Diana) and Nikki Lucas (Nathan). Five grandchildren: Laurie Green (Kory), Roger Espinoza (Kory) Tawny Perkins, Alexander Espinoza and Emily Perkins. Also five great grandchildren.
