Michael A. Stine, 39, of Carlisle passed away after an extended bout of pancreatitis on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, in Bedford at Donahoe Manor. Until recently, Michael lived his life in the Carlisle area.
Born December 19, 1971, in Carlisle, he was a son of Augustus "Gus" W. Stine and the late Reabie Duprey Stine.
Michael was a graduate of Carlisle High School. One of Michael's greatest joys was to take his grandparents on vacations and day trips.
Surviving in addition to his father are one sister, Lisa Donivan (and husband, Troy); niece Ashley and nephews Dakota, Dylan and Hunter of Carlisle; nephew Jamie Stine (and wife, Mandy) and great-nephew Jacob of Mechanicsburg; aunts and uncles Elenora McGowan of Carlisle, Nancy Craine (and husband, Jim) of Carlisle, Butch Duprey (and wife, Penny) of Carlisle, Connie Taylor (and husband, Bill) of Mechanicsburg, Kay Powers ( and husband, Bill) of Carlisle, Dollie Howe (and husband, Skip) of Pittsfield, Maine, and Gene Mentzer (and wife, Nancy) of Newville; and maternal grandmother, Lou Duprey of Carlisle. He is also survived by numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Reabie A. Stine, and grandparents, Alfred and Edna Stine.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Westminster Mausoleum, 1159 Newville Road, Carlisle.
