Felix H. Johnson, Jr. passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013. He was native of Melville, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Felix was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Felix was a dedicated worker for Nichols Construction Company (Turner Industries) for 25 years. After that, he moved on to Operating Engineers Local 406, where he eventually retired. Felix was also the President of the Baton Rouge Building and Trades Council. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucille K. Johnson; sons and daughter-in-laws, Tracy Alden and Teri Johnson, and Gordon Wray and Angie Johnson; sisters, Anna Joyce Jones and husband, Bernard, and Lessie Jane Fletcher; brothers and sister-in-laws, Rev. William Ray Johnson and Joanne Johnson, Johnny and Linda Johnson, Edward "Pete" Earl and Connie Johnson, and Eldon "Tommy" Bruce and Debbie Johnson; sister-in-law, Joyce C. Johnson; grandchildren, Brandon, Heather, Brooke, Tyler, Meghan, and Jacob; and great-grandson, Connor. Felix was preceded in death by his parents, Felix H. Johnson, Sr. and Rena Kimble Johnson; and brother Raymond Reed Johnson. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Monday, September 9, 2013 from 5 pm until 9 pm and will continue on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 11 an until funeral service at 1 pm.
