Mary Jane Robinson Amos, 93, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014, at the Penn Nursing Center in Reidsville, NC. Funeral services will be conducted at First Baptist Church; burial will be in Reidlawn Cemetery. A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late James Robinson, Jr. and the late Pearl Strader Robinson and had lived in Reidsville most of her life. A former owner/bookkeeper of Amos Welding and Machine Shop, she was a member of First Baptist Church where she served on various committees. Mrs. Amos was preceded in death by her husband Joseph W. "Joe" Amos, Jr. and two brothers James Robinson III and Dr. Joe Robinson. Surviving are sons Joseph Wesley Amos III and wife, Melissa, of Reidsville, James Robert "Jimmy" Amos and wife, Cathy, of Atlanta, GA, and Timothy Dean "Tim" Amos and wife, Katie, of Reidsville; sister Julia Robinson Moore and husband, James, of Reidsville; grandchildren Mary Kate A. Harris and husband, Jim, Damon A. Amos, Jade A. Templeton and husband, Mark, and Mary Anna Amos; great-grandchildren James Wesley Harris III, Amos A. Templeton, Philip J. Templeton, and Bell E. Templeton.
