Johnna Rae Nobles Brown, daughter of John and Kay Meachum Nobles, was born May 11, 1975, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, November 20, 2005, in Onslow Memorial Hospital, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, at the age of thirty years, six months, and nine days.

On May 13, 1998, she was united in marriage to Antwan Brown, and together they shared the last seven years.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather; and her maternal grandparents, Frank and Louise Meachum.

Johnna is survived by her husband, Antwan, of the home; three daughters, Jonaci Velde, Amara and Antonette Brown, all of the home; her parents, John and Kay Nobles, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Frank McCoo, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, April Meneese, of Lexington, Kentucky, and Joy Ross, of Baltimore, Maryland; several nieces and nephews; her paternal grandmother, Senetta Beckwith, of New Haven, Connecticut; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She was raised in Lebanon, Missouri and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1993. She then attended Drury University in Springfield. After she and Antwan were married, they had made their home in North Carolina while Antwan was serving in the United States Marines and was stationed at Camp Lejeune. Johnna was a devoted homemaker and loving mother and enjoyed caring for her home and her family.

Johnna had made her profession of belief in Christ and followed the Baptist faith throughout her life.
While in high school she excelled at track and field events. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling as a fun activity. Her family was most important to her and she was especially close to her daughters.

Johnna was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and granddaughter, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2005, in the Holman-Howe Chapel. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
