Guy B. Henry, 66, of Beaverton, died Friday, June 14, 1996, at his home following a long illness.
Born July 13, 1929 in Lapeer, he had resided in Gladwin since moving from Lapeer. Mr. Henry had been employed by the Operationg Engineers Local No. 324 and retired in 1991 after 40 years of service. He was a 40-year member of the Masons in Lapeer.
Mr. Henry married the former Alice Giles in November 1962 in Saginaw.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, John of Hope; 4 daughters, Jacqueline and husband Brad Petersen of Oldsmar, Fla., Norma Samuels and friend Art Engerer of Saginaw, Janice Fair and frined Tom Getgood of Coleman, and Carol and husband Dale Archangeli of Bay City; his mother, Mae Henry; 3 sister, Lois Davis of Rogers City, Norma Evans of Flint, and Gladys Henry of Flint; 2 nieces; 16 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Guy Henry in 1975.
Rites were held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin chapel. The Rev. Harold Owens officiated and burial was in the New Hope Cemetery, Hope. Gladwin County Record dated 6-19/1996
