Mary Elizabeth Dow High, 86, of Salem, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo F. Dow Sr. and Willie Boyd Dow; husband, Lawrence W. High Sr.; sister, Ernestine H. Reid. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Janice High, Karen Gardner (Flexton) and Charlene Callicutt (Anthony); son, Dr. Lawrence W. High Jr. (Joy) ; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, five sisters, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held noon Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Elliston with the Rev. Paul Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park.
