David W. Pence, 44, 8981 East 250 North, Pennville, died Monday at his home. Born on Jan. 24, 1961, in Blackford County, he was the son of Russell Wayne Pence and Anna Mae Williams. He attended Jay County High School, had worked at Enoch's Farms and drove a semi truck for N.O.W. Transport in Hartford City. Survivors include his mother Anna Mae Williams, Appalachia, Va.; a companion, Gloria Clark, Pennville; three daughters, Christy Jo Lancaster, Montpelier, Heather and Amber Pence, both of Bluffton; a son, Eric Pence, Fiat; three sisters, Mrs. David (Sharon) Volz, Pennville, Mrs. Ed (Janice) Smith, Montpelier; and Kimberly Boone, Winter Springs, Fla.; a half-sister, Kelly Harechemak, Appalachia, Va.; and several aunts and uncles. Services are Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Glancy Funeral Homes-Walker Chapel in Montpelier with the Rev. Billy Stanton officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hill-I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville. Visitation is Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
