WINSTON-SALEM- Dennis Gray Knight, 67 passed away, Saturday, February 22, 2014. Native of Forsyth County, he was born June 14, 1946 to the late Victor Knight and Ruby Idol Knight.

Dennis was an active Deacon for many years at Kernersville Seventh-day Adventist Church and had been employed with Orgill, Inc. He loved being outdoors farming and tending to his garden.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Irene Meadows and Colleen Snyder; and brothers Benny Knight and Worth Knight.

Surviving are his wife Janine Winsted Knight; daughter Elizabeth Ashley Knight of Belews Creek; son Charles Gray Knight of Kernersville; step-daughters Jennifer Willey of Kernersville, and Heather Port and husband Chris of Fletcher, NC; step-son Brenden Willey and domestic partner Zoe of Oakland CA; three granddaughters, Hailey Port, Cierra York, and Jordan Knight, one grandson, Hunter Port, brothers; Floyd Knight of Kernersville, Dewey Knight of Kernersville, and Denver Knight of GA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM, Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Kernersville Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Donovan Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00PM, Monday, February 24, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center-Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
