Laura Belle Savage, age 93, passed away Friday morning, March 11, 2011, at Hickory Creek Nursing Center. Born in Lodi Twp., Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Della Buck Butts. She was formerly employed at the Athens State Hospital and Ohio University, retiring from the latter.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1981; a daughter, Phyllis Burton; two sisters, Vivian Jones and Mary Perry; a brother, Cecil Butts; and nephews, John Butts and George Staneart.
