George was a 30 year, WWII, U.S. Navy veteran, a Hospital Corpsman and was subsequently commissioned in the Navy Medical Corps where most of his service was in hospital administration. Upon retirement, he was involved in many community activities and was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Gainesville. Surviving are daughters, Nina Ford of Orlando, FL and Carol Wickwire of Viera in Melbourne; sister, Mary Wanda Wray of Shattuck, OK; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
