James (Pal) Burton, age 97, of Tull, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014. He was born July 20, 1916, in Tull, Arkansas. Mr. Burton was a member of Saline Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and he loved his family. Mr. Burton was a carpenter by trade having built or remodeled several houses in his Tull community. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Burton had a great love for nature and animals. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wylie Burton and Dora Ashcraft Burton; his wife, Fern Burton; one brother and six sisters.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 21 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Tull. Bro. Kim Hammer will be officiating.
