Kilgore Duboise Adams and Ida Belle McClaflin were married by Rev. Henesey, a Methodist Minister. Kilgore was raised by Crawford County relatives. Kilgore and Ida lived for many years near Palestine, Illinois, then moved to Antlers, Oklahoma where he and his wife died in the 1940's. When Kilgore was a small child he when with his grandfather Jesse Kilgore Duboise to move Lincoln's body to its final resting place. Kilgore carried the lantern on this midnight trip.
