YORK David P. "Butch" Rudolph, 67, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth J. (Akin) Rudolph, with whom he celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on August 15, 2013. Born November 18, 1946, in York, son of the late David B. and Margaret (Sipe) Rudolph, he had worked for the York City Highway Department, retiring after 43 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Vigilant Social Club, Rooster Club, West York Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8951, Red Lion American Legion Post #543, and the Loyal Order of Moose. In addition to his wife, Mr. Rudolph is survived by two sons, David P. Rudolph, II and his wife, Tina M. of York, and Joseph W. Rudolph and his wife, Crystal M. of Lebanon; two grandchildren, David Martin and Lillian Rayne; two sisters, Mary Baublitz and Theresa Welsh; and a brother, Bernard Rudolph. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pat Baublitz. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. Viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery. KuhnerAssociates.com
