Betty Archer Neely born September 18, 1936 in Barbourville, Kentucky passed away Friday February 21, 2014 with her loving family around her. Betty was a loving mother and friend. She was a life-long member of the Jellico Church of God Mountain Assembly. She was 77 years old.
Betty is preceded in death by her mother and father; Annie and Clyde Singleton; husbands, Adam Henry Archer and Van Neely; sisters, Joanne Silcox, Bessie Mae Leach, Jetta Blankenship; brothers, Clyde Ernest Singleton, Bobby Singleton, Jack Singleton, and special nephew; William Matthew "Little Bill" Silcox.
Betty is survived by sons; Jerry and Gary Archer of Jellico, Tennessee; daughters; Della Bridges and Deborah Smith, favorite son-in-law Jerome Smith all of Jellico, Tennessee; sister; Charlotte Skeleton, brother; Dave Singleton both of Detroit, Michigan; half-brothers; Joe Singleton and Willie Singleton of Williamsburg, Kentucky; half-sisters; Shirley Ayers, Thelma Perry and Brenda Lawson all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; sister-in-law; Jenese Perkins of Jellico, Tennessee; special friend; Audrey Hodge, she also leaves 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends to mourn her passing.
The family will receive friends 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM Monday February 24, 2014 at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, Tennessee. Funeral service 2:00 PM Tuesday February 25, 2014 at the Jellico Church of God Mountain Assembly in Jellico, Tennessee with the Rev. Scott Landes and Rev. Ray Landes officiating burial will follow in the Douglas Cemetery Wooldridge, Tennessee. The Llewellyn Funeral Home of Jellico, Tennessee honored to serve the family.
