Harvie E. Schneider, beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 84 years, passed away Friday evening, September 23, 1988, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born May 12, 1924 in Saginaw, and had remained a lifelong resident. He married the former Marjorie Roeglin on March 29, 1949. Mr. Schneider was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a member of American Legion Post #439 as well as its executive board. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from Baker Perkins Inc. after 33 years of service, and later worked at Saginaw Division of General Motors for two years.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie, three sons and daughter-in-laws, Daniel and Nena Schneider of Lansdale, Pa,: Gregory and Linda Schneider, Rick and Susan Schneider, all of Saginaw; a daughter, Tamara Schneider, living at home; three grandchildren, J.D., Joey and Mandy; a sister, Shirley Powell of Ann Arbor; a brother, E. Richard Schneider of Saginaw....interment following in Roselawn Memorial Gardens....
