Dr. Darwin H. Leighton, 83, Bettendorf, Iowa died Thursday, November 21st at Trinity Medical Center, North Campus, Davenport. His body has been donated to Palmer College of Chiropractic per his wishes and requested no visitation or services. Dr. Leighton was born September 12, 1919 in Hopkins, Missouri to Donald Wilmer and Bessie May (Luellen) Leighton. He was self employed as a chiropractor for 44 years, retiring in 1990. He served with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his special friend Thelma Allen, Bettendorf; sister, Doris Cartwright, Davenport; several nieces, nephews, and three great nieces.—Weerts Funeral Home website
