Linda Jane Delaney-Dickson, 67, passed away November 21, 2012 at her home in Colorado Springs. She was born on September 24, 1945 in Williamsport, PA to her beloved parents, Harry and Elizabeth Delaney. Linda graduated from Cazenovia College in New York with an Associate of Arts degree and from the University of Denver with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Pre-professional Social Work (1968) and Elementary Education (1970). She lived her life in service to others, first as an Army wife and mother but also as an at-risk youth counselor and community volunteer. Above all else, her passion was her family and many friends. She was loved by all who knew her. Linda was preceded in death by both of her parents and her stepmother, Mildred Delaney. She is survived by her daughters, Stacey Hayes and Shelley Dickson; son, Chad Dickson; son-in-law, John Hayes; four grandchildren, Kelsey and Bryan Dickson, and Christian and Austin Hayes; and her many cherished friends. She is also survived by her husband, Nolan Stuart Dickson, and brother, Craig Delaney. A remembrance celebration of Linda’s life will be held at the home of Gina Patrick at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 1 – 2830 Haystack Drive, Colorado Springs, 80922.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Linda’s name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or World Vision.
