Found Dead in Bed
Michael Morrissey, a Well Known Citizen, Dies of Heart Failure
Mr. Michael Morrissey, a well known citizen of Cumberland, was found dead in his bed Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock at his residence, 223 North Harrison Street. Mr. Morrissey retired Monday night in his usual good health. He slept alone. Tuesday morning his wife went to his room and was shocked to find her husband cold in bed. Dr. Miller was quickly summoned and said the cause of death was due to heart failure. The deceased was 78 years of age and was a native of Ireland, locating in Cumberland in 1847. He followed the vocation of drayman for years and through strict attention to business, saved money and for years lived a retired life. He leaves besides his wife, four children viz, Michael, John, Daniel and Mary Morrissey.
