She attended grade school in various locations in Southern Iowa and graduated from Allerton High School with the class of 1946. She was employed by the school following graduation as a secretary to Superintendent William Cliffton and then worked for the Register and Tribune Company in Des Moines before her marriage to Robert Snodgrass on August 7, 1948.
From that time she was a homemaker in their home west of Allerton. Bob and Linda were parents of two daughters, Judy Corley of Allerton and Jackie Snodgrass of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
In earlier years she was a willing volunteer to many organizations. She was an active member of Farm Bureau women and helped re-organize the Warren Lucky Stars 4-H Club. She was a leader and later served several years on the Adult 4-H committee as well as the Wayne County Extension Council. She belonged to and took an active part in several clubs including the neighborhood Friday Club for 49 years and was a 25-year member of Cornflower Chapter Eastern Star.
In later years arthritis slowed most activities but she was always willing to lend a helping hand when called upon. She spent the last years of her life in Long Term Care at Mercy Hospital in Centerville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years in 1997, her father in 1980 and mother in 2001. She is survived by her two daughters, Judy Corley and Jackie Snodgrass, son-in-law Charles Corley and nephew Gary Bryan.
