Vicki was a volunteer extraordinaire. She devoted her time to Perpetual Adoration at St. Philip. She was also a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church, belonging to the St. Francis Circle. She counted money and stuffed bulletins weekly and was the official kitchen cleaner. She baked banana nut bread and cakes for the priests for many years. She enjoyed making her daily trips to Sweetwater Doughnuts.
She never met a stranger anywhere she went. She enjoyed dancing, golfing, bowling and traveling. She was a seamstress. She belonged to the CFU Croation Faternal Union and loved Croation music.
Vicki is survived by her children, Kathleen Plummer of Battle Creek, Patricia (PJ) and Ron Lucas of St. Clair Shores, Michele Osborn of Battle Creek, Michael Justice of Battle Creek, Mary Vickers of Houston, Texas and Sandra Lang of Lake Orion; grandchildren, Steve Plummer, Matt (Rose Welk) Plummer, Justin Lucas, Lindsey Lucas (Scott Coleman), Ryan (Erikka Slater) Osborn and Clayton Lang and Ashley Lang; great grandchildren, Brooklynn and Alex Plummer, Briley Bannister, Finley Plummer, Kobe, Carmen and Philip Osborn and Victor Coleman. She is survived by her brother Frank Varga and many nieces and nephews.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Walters and granddaughter Lauren Lucas; sister, Mary Zlatec; brothers, Steve, Mike and Joe Varga.
Shaw Funeral Home, was where a Rosary was recited on Friday, February 28, 2014. A mass of Christian Burial took
place on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Memorial donations may go to, St. Joseph Church, or for Masses, Bronson Battle Creek Cancer Care Center or Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence.
