St. Johnsville Oct. 11,--The remains of Morris J. Edwards the first St. Johnsville soldier killed in France, are to be returned here for burial. Word has been received by his brother that the government will Ship the body, but no definite date of the arrival of the remains has been given out.

Morris J. Edwards was killed at the battle of Soissons July 21, 1918 . The local American Legion bears his name. Interment will be made in his family plot at Ephratah Cemetery . He was a member of the regular Army and had been in service 12 years at the time of his death.
