W.O. Luke, who conducted the San Francisco photo studio in the Weitzenkorn building, died last evening at the City hospital after a short illness of apoplexy, aged 59 years. He was born at Lime Hill, Bradford County on February 9, 1847. He went to Colorado about 1865 and returned to this city in 1899. Mr. Luke is survived by one sister, Mrs. Levina Wright, of New York City, who was at his bedside at the time of his death, and the following nieces and nephews: Miss Amy Wright, of New York; Russell and Karl Luke of Kingston; Mrs. George R Rock, of Washington, D.C. and Mrs Dr. J. E. Schelfly of Edwardsville. Mr. Luke wa a member of the Odd Fellows of this city. -- Wilkes Barre Times, Jan 9, 1907
