Christopher "Brett" McCoy, 27, a native of Ville Platte and a resident of Central, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012. A loving father, son and friend, Brett was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. A hunter and fisherman, Brett loved working with his hands and enjoyed working on cars. He is survived by his parents, Matt and Frances McCoy; children, Casey McCoy and Elaina Noland and their mother Lindsey Noland, and Kinzley McCoy and her mother Kaci Comeaux; maternal grandmother, Gloria Freeman; paternal grandparents, Stanley "Doc" and Janell McCoy; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ted Freeman; aunt, Barbara Sage; and uncle, Jim Baldridge. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and continue on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 8 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. .
