Ivy Dean Clemons, 88, of Decatur died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Mrs. Clemons was a Charter member of Faith Baptist Church for 55 years, and retired from the Decatur School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Shirley and Martha Bentley; her husband L.C. Clemons; three brothers; and one sister. She is survived by two sons, Michael (Sandra) Clemons, of Decatur, Jeff (Mary) Clemons of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jonathan Clemons, Kristi Adams, David Clemons, Elizabeth Clemons, Matthew Clemons, Rebecca Clemons and Benjamin Clemons; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family.
The funeral will be held today, February 23, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Nason officiating. The family will receive friends today from noon until 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Memorial gifts can be given to Faith Baptist Church of Decatur.
