CRONIN RITES

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip's Church Saturday at 11 a.m. for Martin J. Cronin, who died at the Bemidji Hospital Wednesday. The Rev. William Mehrkens will officiate with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
A Bible service will be held this evening at 7:30 o'clock at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home.
Mr. Cronin was born at Rochester June 14, 1896, the son of John and Mary Cronin. He was raised in the Rochester area and worked during World War II in the shipyards at Portland, Ore. His marriage to Mae Mathews Jackovich took place Nov. 11, 1944 at Anoka and they had lived in Bemidji since 1949.
Surviving besides his wife are a son, Jack Cronin of Aurora; five grandchildren; a brother, John, Jr. of Rochester; six sisters, Mrs. Frank (Bridget) Mahoney, Sister Marcia Cronin, Mary Frances, Annie and Lucille Cronin, all of Rochester and Mr Cronin was a member of St. Phillips Church and served as an usher for many years. He was also a past member of Knights of Columbus and Eagles Lodge.
