LONDON, Deacon Richard Sr. of Tampa, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 22, at 11 am, at the Re-Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 1924 East Comanche Ave., with pastor, Dr. Zachary Hudson officiating. Interment will take place in FL Ntnl. Cemetery in Bushnell. He served in the United States Air Force and was a World War II Veteran. His affiliations further include having been a member of the Tampa Golf Club and the Hillsborough County Charmer; he also served as a deacon at Re-Birth M.B. Church. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Tampa Electric Company and a retired driver for Mall Office/Refurbished Office Products. He also worked as a bar tender for Merrymakers Club. Survived by his loving spouse of 28 ½ years, Janice Simmons London; children, Rhuetelia Bradford (Marvin), Richard Jr. (Mae Laura), Fontaine Marion (Tony), Winston (Mary), Teffany Woodside (DeVau-ghan); grandchildren, Michelle Turner, Michael Turner, Avis London, Richard London III, Jermaine Muhammad (Aminah), Toni Marie Marion, Shelly Gainous Jr. (Tonya), Shontae Hill (Alvin), Winston London II, Darrell London Jr., Darren London, Paige London, Ronald Bradford (Pamela), Jesiah Woodside, and Jonah Woodside; and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains will repose after 5 pm, Friday, Feb. 21, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave., and the family will receive friends from 6-7 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Ray Williams Funeral Home, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
