A Cox's Creek resident, Matthew Dylan "Matt" Blanton, age 21, passed away Thursday February 20, 2014 at Norton Suburban Hospital. He was a 2011 graduate of Nelson County High School.
He is survived by his mother and step father, Tanya and Kenny Campbell of Cox's Creek, his father and step mother Ernest and Amy Blanton of Bardstown, his sister, Marian Blanton of Bardstown, 2 brothers, Brandon Lee Campbell of Cox's Creek, Andrew Blanton of Bardstown, maternal grandmother, Donna Herchenrader of Louisville, paternal grandparents, Karen Lynn Blanton of Louisville, Stanley R. Blanton of Cave City, maternal great grandmother, Mary Mitchell of Louisville, several aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services for Matt Blanton will be Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 11:00am at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Carwile officiating. Burial will be in Bardstown Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, February 24, 2014 from 2:00-8:00pm and after 8:30am Tuesday at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements
