Mrs. M.D. Bell, Businesswoman of Salisbury, Dies

SALISBURY - Mrs. M.D. Bell, a native and lifelong resident of Salisbury, died here unexpectedly last night of a heart attack.

Mrs. Bell had been to services at the Baptist Church and became ill in the car on the way home. She died in the car.

A veteran businesswoman, she was associated with her husband in the Bell Dry Goods Co. Mr. Bell died in 1951, and she carried on the business after his death.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. T.M. Agee, Independence; Mrs. Grace Walton and Mrs. Lonnie Edwards, Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.

The body is at Winkelmeyer Funeral Home, but arrangements are incomplete.
