Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM in the St. John's Lutheran Church at Bradley with Minister Marion Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie Hill Cemetery at Bradley.
He was born on March 30, 1921 at Clontarf, MN, the son of Harold and Caroline (Sevelson) Olson. He grew to adulthood in the Benson, MN area attending and graduating from Benson High School in 1940. He and his brother trucked and worked construction in the region, graveling county and township roads as well.
On January 25, 2949 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Schuelke at Ortonville, MN. The couple lived and farmed in Minnesota for a year prior to purchasing a farm and moving north of Bradley, SD. In 1965 the couple built a new home in Bradley. Mr. Olson continued farming and trucking until his sons took over the trucking business. He has been in failing health in recent years.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Bradley where he had also served on the Church board. He also was a member of the Bradley Fire Department and had served as treasurer for many years. Some of his fondest moments were spent on the golf course, in the bowling alley and the outdoors: hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed countless hours of card playing and trucking.
Grateful for having shared in his life is his wife, Mary Ann of Clark, sons, Dennis and wife Sharon and Donald and wife Susan all of Bradley, a brother, Selmer (Sam) and wife Ruby of Hancock, MN, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister Myrtle.
