Renita, 59, of Quanicassee, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 20, 2014 surrounded by the love of her family. A lifelong area resident, Rennie was the daughter of Winifred Darlene (Teets) and the late Wildrex Eldred Thornton, and graduated from Mayville High School with the class of 1972.

She was united in marriage with Henry Kuhne on June 15, 1974 in Caro, and cherished nearly forty years together. Rennie was employed for ten years as a nurse's aide at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro before opening and operating Reese Hardware with her husband for the next twenty-five years.

Upon her retirement from Reese, Rennie assisted her two sons for several years with the operation of Gambles Hardware in Caro.

She was a devoted wife and mother that enjoyed working with her family in the hardware stores, and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Reese. She also liked to garden and fish for walleye on the Saginaw Bay.

Rennie is survived by her husband, Henry Kuehne of Quanicassee; two sons, Jeremy (Whitney) of Reese, Jason (Selena) of Reese; her mother, Winifred Thornton of Mayville; two sisters, Janice Fowler of Mayville, Ronda Dunham of Mayville; in-laws, Richard & Ollie Kuhne of Florida, Rhonda & Earl King of Reese; and many nieces and nephews.

Rennie was preceded in death by her father, Wildrex Thronton.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church in Reese with Pastor Tom Senge officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
