Ephrata, died Monday afternoon in the Ephrata Community Hospital, where he had been a patient for a month, after a lengthy illness.
His wife, Irene E. Kissinger Hoeffer, survives.
He was born in Lebanon Co., the son of the
late George W. and Mary Ellen Detterline Hoeffer, an lived in Ephrata for 40 years.
He was a retired merchant, and the owner and
operator of Dunn‘s Cut-Rate Store for 40 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist
Church, Ephrata, and the Men's Bible Class.
He served as head usher for eight years.
Surviving are a bother, Samuel, Sharon Hill, Pa.;
a sister, Miss Ella Hoeffer, Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.
