G. E. BUSHONG DIES SUDDENLY

GALE COMPANY FOREMAN PASSES WHILE SITTING IN HIS AUTOMOBILE
George E. Bushong, a foreman at the Gale Manufacturing Company plant, died suddenly {13 October 1945} in his automobile, which was parked in the 400-block of South Superior Street just before noon Saturday.
He had driven downtown from the Gale plant to pick up his daughter, Miss Zelda Bushong, who worked in a nearby office and was waiting for her. He had passed away when she reached the car. Justice H. B. Weeks, acting as Coroner, and Deputy Sheriff George Lewis conducted the routine investigation required by law in
all cases of sudden death. The body was removed to the Marsh Funeral Home.

Mr. Bushong who was 58 years old, had lived in Albion for nearly 30
years, coming here from Hillsdale and being employed at the Gale plant as core room foreman until ill health forced his retirement three years ago. Since that time, he has acted as a trouble shooter at the plant.

He was born 11 November 1886, in Ohio {Williams County} and married
Lula Clark on 14 November 1907. For many years they have resided on Jackson Road east of Albion.
He was a member of the former Knights of Pythias Lodge here.

Besides his widow, Mr. Bushong is survived by seven sons, Donald of
Muskegon, Max of Marshall, Lt. Leland, stationed in Manila, Sgt Lynn now in Italy, Pvt. Robert, in Camp Crowder, Missouri and William at home; three daughters, Mrs. Guy Kiefer, Albion; Misses Barbara and Zelda Bushong at home; a sister Mrs. Carl Osburn of Hudson, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the Marsh Funeral Home Tuesday at
2:30, Rev. G. Demptster Yinger officiating; burial in Riverside Cemetery.
