Randy Black, age 45, passed peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 27th . He was born June 25, 1965 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Robert Black and Barbara Black-Tomblinson. He attended Westbrook Schools where he excelled in swimming and wrestling. He was currently employed by Portland Restoration where he has been spending many happy hours with his coworkers and doing what he enjoyed most, working with his hands and being creative. He was a proud father of his son Ian and enjoyed playing music and video games with him. Randy was a huge fan of the late great guitarist Randy Rhoads, talented musician and artist.

He loved his family, fishing, the ocean, fast cars and rock and roll and was a devoted friend to everyone he met. His compassion and sense of humor were two things that drew people to him. He was a loving husband to his wife Lisa Black and enjoyed spending summers at the lake with her and friends. He also had a great love for animals and nature.

He is survived by his wife Lisa, his son Ian Black of Saco and two step sons, Michael Lefavor and Joseph Wheeler, both of Portland. His mother Barbara Black-Tomblinson, step-father Eddie Tomblinson, and his brother Christopher Black, Sr. of South Portland. Two nieces, Amanda Coulombe of Brunswick, Haley Black of Raymond, two nephews Christopher Black, Jr. of Florida, Joshua Coulombe, of Brunswick, two great nieces Tana Rose Coulombe, Nevaeh Ayer Coulombe and one great nephew Alex Coulombe also of Brunswick. He is predeceased by his sister Tana Black-Coulombe and his father Robert Black.

Family will receive visitors Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 4p.m. to 7p.m. at Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Congress Street, Portland.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, July 2, 2010 and 10:00 a.m. at Stroudwater Baptist Church, 1729 Congress St., Portland, internment to follow at Forest City Cemetery, South Portland, Maine.
