Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethesda Community Church with Pastor Thomas Gross Sr. and Pastor J. Daniel Smith officiating. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethesda Community Church. Kevin was born April 5, 1980, in New Orleans, La., to Kevin Sr. and Zonthia Thornton Sr. Kevin honorably served four years in the United States Marine Corps. Survivors: Wife, Courtney Thornton; children, Kevin Thornton III, Calaia Thornton, Crystal Thornton, Caris Thornton and Kaileb Thornton; parents, Kevin Sr. and Zonthia Thornton; sisters, Kennisha Hill and Keyana Joseph; brother, Korey Thornton; numerous other extended family members; and many friends.
