Susan Helms died at her residence at the age of 49. She was the daughter of Wanda (Pipkin) Helms and E. J. Helms. She grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma and graduated from Lawton High School in 1974. She attended Oklahoma State University and later Cameron University, graduating in 1994. She worked in the Lab at Indian Hospital as a Medical Technologist from 1995-2005. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Helms. She is survived by her parents and son, Heath Severtson.
