Funeral services for Davis Huell (Pete) Towson, 45, of Mystic were held at the Mystic Baptist Church with burial following in the Mystic Church Cemetery. Mr. Towson died at the Irwin County Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Noble Towson, Mystic; one daughter, Lynn Towson of Mystic; his mother, Mrs. George Towson; one brother, Marvin Towson; six sisters, Mrs. Herman Marshall; Mrs. Earl Brewer; Miss Joyce Towson; Mrs. Sidney Platt; and Mrs. Mickey Boytis.

Mr. Towson was born in Irwin County, the son of Loretta Davis Towson and the late George Towson of Mystic. He was associated with the State Department of Agriculture. He was a Veteran of World War II and he was a member of the American Legion and V. F.W. and Mystic Baptist Church.
