HARRODSBURG (Spl.) -Funeral for Robert Sprole Lyen, 91, of Lexington, who died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Meadowbrook Personal and Intermediate Care Home there in Lexington, services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McClellan Funeral Home, Harrodsburg. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. The Rev. C. William Allen will officiate. Masonic services will be held at 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Born July 15 in Mercer County, he was a son of the late John T. and Alice Birdwhistle Lyen. He was retired farmer and belonged to Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church. He also was a member of Mercer Lodge No. 777.

Survivors include son, S. Lillard of Lexington; grandson, William L. Lyen of Lexington; a great-grandson, Robert M. Lyen of Lexington; a brother, H. T. Lyen of Danville, and a sister, Mrs. Harry Davenport of Paris.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be David Woods, Kenneth Parker, Marshall Satterly, Haldon Durr, I. C. James III and Harry Terhune III. Harry C. Smit.
