Aaron Browning 1930 - 2011
Aaron Browning, 81, Peru, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Harlan County, Ky., to Marsh and Bertha (Biggs) Browning. He married Christine Madden on April 8, 1952 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 2002.
Aaron served in the U.S. Army and was a retired hod carrier for the Labors and Union No. 274 in Lafayette.
He was a member of the Zion Chapel Church and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his brothers, Asbel (Lorraine) Browning, Pine Mountain, Ky., Jim Browning, Denver, and Marsh (Juanita) Browning, Peru; and his sisters. Lola (Dan) Jordan, Roann, and Rose (Tom) Appleton, Peru. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; three brothers, Donald, Aster, and Levi Browning; and a sister, Wanda Rogers.
A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., with Pastor George Dinkel and Pastor Donald Browning officiating.
Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
Visitation will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Chapel Church.
