William I, was married three times. 1st to Barbara Ellen Baker Brown, (Marriage Certificate on file) three (3) Children, Ida Mae, Lula and Avva Inglish died age 3 --- 2nd to a Nancy Jane "Nannie" Ping Baker Robbins, (Cannot find evidence of marriage) two (2) children, William F. Baker II and Baby Boy Baker (Died young but don't know name) --- 3rd to my grandmother, Sophia D. Baker Reynolds Meece, (Marriage Certificate on file) two (2) children, Pretsle Lee Baker and Dee Francisco Baker, my father. ------ William I, died when trying to ride a wild horse. He was thrown, dragged and his head struck the corner of an out-building, and died from the injury.--- There are stories that William carried two guns at all time. Also that he owned a Pool Room/Saloon in Somerset, but there is nothing to substantiate this but stories that have been passed down through the years.
