July 1960 — Passage. Mrs. Kate Carter Breesee, 72, former Provoan, died Sunday afternoon in Chula Vista, California.

She was born June 2, 1888, in Provo, a daughter of Heber K. and Matilda Loveridge Carter. She married Charles R. Bresee Dec. 24, 1906. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 6, 1924. They moved to California to make their home in 1925 and her husband died in 1942.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters, Darrell and Dean Bresee, Mrs. Alton (Donna) Cole, Mrs. Dick (Thelma) Barnhart and June Bresee. Also surviving are four brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Paul (Ruby) Baker of Provo, Mrs. Eugene (Dora) Beesely of San Bernardino, Calif., Mrs. Mert (Phoebe) Lewis of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Walter (Maude) Cox of Chula Vista, Ray L., Heber C., Kimball and Vern C. Carter of Provo.

Funeral services will be in the Chula Vista LDS Ward Chapel Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Friends may call at the Christensen Mortuary in East San Diego. Burial will be in Glenn Abbey Cemetery in Chula Vista.
