After graduation Rita moved to Des Moines where she met the love of her life, Bob Riley. She and Bob were married in Fairbanks, Alaska on May 1, 1955 where he was stationed in the army. Rita was a flight attendant for Wien Alaskan Airline. While in Alaska, Rita and Bob enjoyed 5 years of sightseeing and traveling. In 1959, they moved to Omaha, Nebraska where Bob attended Creighton University, and Rita worked at Creighton in the President's office.
Rita loved life and shared that love with everyone she met. Rita was so much fun to be around. She loved to make people laugh. She loved to sing and dance, and her effervescent personality was cherished by all.
Rita is survived by her husband of 59 years Robert L. (Bob); children Jean, Katey (John), F.D. (Erica), and Molly; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, brothers; Roger (Prudence), Mike (Diane), sisters; Holly (Jim), Julie, Biddy, Joan (John), and Geri (Bob); sisters-in-law; Nick Millea, and Shirley Riley, numerous nieces and nephews. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Jack and Bill, sisters; Mary Kay, Betts, and Margaret, brothers-in-law; William (Bill) Riley, Charlie, Bernard, Eldie, Don, and Tom, sister-in-law; Anne, and granddaughter; Megan Marie.
