Laura S. Huffer

YORK - Laura S. Huffer, 86, died at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, September 26, 2004, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Dr. Donald H. Huffer, who died in 2001, and the late H. Theodore Logan.
Born September 12, 1918, in York County, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Sadie (Miller) Stermer.
Mrs. Huffer retired in 1981 as the office manager for her late husband, Dr. Donald H. Huffer. She was also the former owner and operator of Logan Motors in York.
She was an active volunteer for the Girl Scouts of America.
She is survived by two daughters, Suzan Seitz of Harrisburg and Paula S. Jones of York; two step-daughters, Judith L. Pressel of Hellam and Jill Mauro of Spring Hill, Fla.; two grandsons; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one brother, John F. Stermer of Lancaster; and a sister, Ferne S. Huffman of Wooster, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403; or the the American Heart Association 2997 Cape Horn Road, Red Lion, PA 17356.
