Death of H. D. ATKINSON

Uncle Henry Atkison, 83 years of age, died Thursday morning at the home of his son, Mr. Ed Atkison, one mile east of Dresden, following a protracted illness of many months.

Surviving the deceased are two children - Mrs. Charlotte Temperance Meek, of Martin, and Mr. Ed D Atkison - and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Atkison was one of the familiar, well known characters of this community. He was of a social courteous disposition and his friends in Dresden always delighted to have Uncle Henry call at their places and visit at their homes, where he ever was accorded a hearty welcome. He was a man loyal to his neighbors and one in whom implicit confidence could be reposed.

The body was interred on Friday (today) at West Union, by the side of his wife who proceded him several years ago, a large crowd attending the interment.
