Katherine Hildreth Franklin was born Jan. 1, 1938, in Pawnee and departed this life Feb. 19, 2014, in Midwest City at the age of 76.

Katherine, the daughter of Fryor and Margaret (Christjohn) Brown, was a long-time resident of Prague.

She married Shannon Franklin on May 30, 1963, in Chandler. They were married 32 years until his death in 1994.

Her parents, husband, one daughter, Jamie Franklin, four brothers and three sisters preceded Katherine in death.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and April Franklin of Davis and Steven David and Bess Franklin of Stroud; daughters and sons-in-law, Lousia Michelle and Joe Jordan of Prague, Lisa Ann and Raymond Harjo of Prague, and Shannon Rochelle Franklin of Prague and Rita Poorbuffalo of Apache; sister, Virginia Wright of Shawnee; numerous loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 22, at Sac and Fox Tribal Cemetery in Stroud.
