Graveside services for Kathryn, 87, of Chester, will be held in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Chester, with Rev. W.C. Hall and Pastor John Tyler officiating.
Mrs. David was born Feb. 21, 1926 in Moscow, to her parents, Kyre and Pearl Tarver Platt and went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 in Corrigan LTC Partners Nursing Home.
Kathryn loved her church, Bible Believers of Moscow where she was an active member for many, many years. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting along with taking care of her family.
She is survived by her loving nephews, Steve Platt who was very special to her, Jeff Platt and wife Donna of Moscow, Clay Platt and wife Brenda of Moscow, Lynn Tarver and wife Karen of Chester, Paul Neal and wife Dina of Chester, Mike Tarver and Bruce Tarver of Neederland; nieces, Karen Bostock and husband Jim of Moscow, Brenda Spain of Dallas, Jill Carswell and husband Mike of Lufkin, Diane Morton of Terrell; nephew, Josh David and wife, Nancy, of Chester; sisters in law, Bettye Platt of Lufkin, Delores Platt of Moscow, and numerous great nieces and great nephews who will all miss her greatly.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, Horace David; her parents; her brothers, K.C. Platt, Donald Platt and her sister, Billie Turner.
