Sharon A. Bradley, age 65, of Marion, died Wednesday morning, February 19, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family, following over a year long battle with cancer.

On November 11, 1948, Sharon was born in Columbus, Ohio, the second of four daughters of the late Frederick and Margaret (McClanahan) Skatzes. At an early age, her family moved to Marion, where she graduated from Marion Harding High School in the Class of 1969.

For over the past 10 years, Sharon dedicated her life to the clients at RHAM in Marion, empathetically caring for those with disabilities.

A woman of faith, she attended the Shining Light Baptist Church in Marion. She also was a member of T.O.P.S.

An avid member of the Coca-Cola club, Sharon loved collecting as much Coca-Cola memorabilia as she could get her hands on, which she loved decorating her house with…from top to bottom.

Having a green thumb, she loved tending to her flowers, keeping some alive and well for over 20 years. She also was a cat lover, taking care of not only her own cat, but all of the cats in their neighborhood. She and Bill would even get the neighborhood cats spayed and neutered.

Very quick witted, she always kept everyone on their toes and got everyone laughing even on her worst of days.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Bill Bradley; three children: Rex (Lydia) Obenour, Kathy (Donnie Sr.) Large, and Phillip (Pam Caudill) Slone II, all of Marion; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Kimm Kessinger of Bucyrus; three sisters: Lynnda (Michael) Hawkins of Mansfield, Diana (Ron) Bender of Gallowy, and Michele (James) Keller of Biloxi, MS; and several nieces and nephews.

Her family will greet friends from 11 – 1 p.m. on Friday, February 21st, at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 E. Center St., Marion. Services honoring her life will follow there at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Gary Carr officiating. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
