He was born on November 26, 1952 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Robert and Verna (Detty) Fry.
Dan previously worked for MI Homes in Columbus, Emeritus at HillenVale and Whispering Hills Care Center. He was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Dan was a previous member of the Elks Lodge of Mount Vernon and enjoyed golfing and bowling with his friends. Whether he was pulling off one of his practical jokes or just telling you a story, Dan had the knack to always make you laugh or smile. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Daugherty) Fry, his mother, Verna Fry of Mount Vernon, two daughters, Brigette (Troy) Lafferty of Newark and Katherine Smith of Mount Vernon, two step daughters, Amy (Troy) Neal of Tampa, Florida and Ashley Parker of Mount Vernon, a step son, Andrew Parker of Mount Vernon, seven grandchildren, Nicholas Lafferty, Avery Smith, Madeline Smith, Colton Neal, Spencer Pikaart, Griffin Young and Gracen Young, a great granddaughter, Kennedy Smith and a brother, Ronald (Cheryl) Fry of Fredericktown.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Fry and his previous wife, Rebecca (Mowery) Fry.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619, East High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where friends may call from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
