Funeral services for Mrs. Emmitt (Wanda) McCarty, 56, of 2401 Edgewood Dr., who died Friday in a local hospital after a short illness, will be at 2:30 PM Sunday at Ladusau – Evans Chapel.
Dr. Ron Fellemende day will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The casket will remain open until service time at the funeral home.
Born March 30, 1924, in Trinity, Texas, where she grew up, the former Wanda McNeely married Emmitt McCarty on September 12, 1947, at Conroe, Texas. The couple came to Enid in 1955 and have lived here since then.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Eastern Star (Neal Chapter) and the Past Matrons Club.
She is survived by her husband, Emmitt, of the home; her mother, Mrs. Loney McNeely, Blackwell; three sisters, Anita Atkins of El Paso, Texas, Aline Phillips of League City, Texas, and Maxine McKee of Blackwell; and one brother, Harold McNeely of Morgan City, Louisiana.
